*sigh*

The week was going okay until late yesterday afternoon. That dreaded call, in this case voice mail from Tamara, "The house has been broken into." Dammit to hell, some people suck. I sure want to believe with Tamara that Karma is real.

Police, insurance and even Lowe's have been on our list today. Lists...what's missing? Way too much and I would feel better being guaranteed they won't return. Sadly no such promise.

Yeah, they only took stuff. Most replaceable, some less so. Sentimental value is lost forever. Human and animals safe or as safe as one can be in a society where some people suck.

Now that I am done rambling, back to your updates. Enjoy.

Peace, Health, and Happiness,

Elisa

on halloween nite. an 80 yr old woman opened her front door..again to give more candy to neighborhood children. only these kids were big..pushed her back into her elegant home...beat her...robbed her...and took the candy. there is something REALLY REALLY WRONG with the 14-24 yr old generation. the lack of disiplinary action. CPS and law enforcement created these monsters.. yet we pay for their crimes not only with our peronal items but again when they go to jail we PAY to prosecute them..swaddle them in orange jumpsuits..provide a bed with blankets and pillows and we pay to FEED EM TOO.. guess crime really does pay afterall. Yup...Sucks bigtime. 3Xvictim of the system.

Blaming others as in CPS and law enforcement only highlights the problems. They are not the problem...we are.

This society is out of whack because folks are not engaging the kids. To blame others is not always fair or right...kids learn from what they see.

Children have always been the future. Morals and Ethics of what they are taught is the problem and that is parental and society in general. Want, mine and more...at what point do they care about how they get it?

We teach our kids and our kids learn from what we teach and actions of what or how we do. Actions by parents are as important as what is said to our kids.

I am not a huge believer in capitalism in general, the greed is high and most feel throw more money and all problems are things are solved. Reality is communication and work is the best path for happiness.

Maybe putting the need in front of the want may would be more useful.

As for generalization that all issues are because of CPS and law enforcement (or lack of) that's crap. Blaming the half way fix is not going to solve the initial problem, it starts long before then.

Sorry to hear that your home was violated, but very glad to hear that none of you were injured. People do suck sometimes, it's true, but I too believe that what goes around comes around.

It sounds cliched, but these experiences do remind us of what really matters - and thankfully you all still have each other. Things can be replaced and new memories will be made.
