On the Mend

Max underwent a teeth cleaning and mole removal procedure on Tuesday. The vet also ended up removing a diseased tooth so he had mouth sutures as well as sutures on the top of his head. He wasn't too happy the first night. He whimpered a lot of the night even with the pain pill.

Here we are though on day three and he's mostly back to his old self. Tomorrow he'll get his first taste of dry food since the surgery. I'm not sure he's going to be ecstatic about that. He normally gets a bit of soft dog food for the evening meal. The vet recommended three days of soft due to the sutures in his mouth.

We'll see if I get the pitiful looks when he sees just dry in his bowl tomorrow morning.
