Last week Femslash4Fans Radio embarked on its third season by revisiting a fandom which had previously been discussed here, "Xena: Warrior Princess". While I don't plan on making it a habit, we'll be doing it again this week as F4F returns to the hit FOX drama "Glee", which we previously discussed in late 2009. At the time, "Glee" had already become a monster television hit, with a femslash fandom that seemed to be growing by leaps and bounds. After just thirteen episodes, a lot of attention was focused on the two attractive female leads among the glee club singers, outcast Rachel Berry and head Cheerio Quinn Fabray, and so naturally I concentrated on Rachel/Quinn with my three guests that night. But we did spare some time to discuss an alternate pairing from the show, one that linked the OTHER Cheerios to join glee with Quinn, Santana Lopez and Brittany S. Pierce.

While neither character had many lines in those first episodes, they quickly became fan favorites - partly because while dimwitted Brittany hardly seemed to speak at all, when she opened her mouth classic one-liners always seemed to come out. And when that included a revelation that she and Santana were sleeping together in the episode "Sectionals", well, that was all it took. Rachel/Quinn continues to be a popular pairing, and in fact it always seems like where one pairing goes in fanfic, the other is sure to follow. But events in Season Two, particularly Santana realizing she was gay and in love with Brittany, only fueled the popularity of "Brittana".

Tonight we'll be talking to two authors who have more than enough experience with Brittana and "Quinchel". Lynne Arlington has written several stories about Brittana, including the "nerd verse" and the AU epics "Love is a Burning Thing" and "They Say Bad Things Happen For a Reason". And LosDosMos wrote fics like "Canteloupe Confessions" and "Power Play", not to mention her own AU, "What Is Done In the Dark". We'll be joined by my cohost Grdnofevrythng, who was one of my guests during the FIRST Glee show, and who has helped me with past interviews like for "Popular" and "The Devil Wears Prada".
