Another England game on the TV tonight. A friendly not a competitive game. Friendly?? Hah!! It was in Berlin against Germany. There's no such thing as a friendly between England and Germany. I have several good friends who are German. I love the German language. The Black Forest is beautiful. South Bavaria is breath-taking. I wouldn't dream of showing any kind of disrespect to Germany or to a German. Or being in any way prejudiced. Normally that is. But when it comes to football none of that counts. When it's football it's "one world cup and two world wars, doo-dah, doo-dah". I'm sure it's the same for Germans.

We won - 2-1. Though their 'keeper made an absolutely shocking blunder for our first goal. All together now... one world cup... *g*
