Lazy

Boy am I ever lazy today. I did manage to clear out Duncan's closet and chest of drawers of clothes he can't wear any more. It's something more on-the-ball moms do every year. I get to it maybe every two or three. I now have a huge chest of clothes to store until Cal gets big enough to wear them. Not that it'll stop the Grandmas from buying him clothes. I think the kid ends up with an even bigger wardrobe because of hand-me-downs and bargain hunting Grandmas.

Now a word of warning to y'all. Tomorrow we've been told by our web space provider that the site could likely be down most of the afternoon. So if you zip on over to the web site and get an error message it's Dreamhost dinking with server issues. We're told after tomorrow things should be hunky-dory. Keep your fingers crossed.

We'll still do an update but you may not see it on the site. It will be mailed out and posted to the Yahoo group however.

That's it for me. You've got a nice and varied update tonight. Enjoy it.

Tamara

It sounds like you have the same "too many clothes" issues with Duncan and Cal that my brother has with his two children. Why? Although there are four of us, only my brother has any children--my sisters and I contend that he only has children because he didn't have to have them! At any rate, being the only grandchildren and the only niece and nephew means that both has way too many clothes. They have so many clothes that my brother has to pack new stuff away in his basement until it fits. Now he simply donates about half to charity and he continues to beg us to stop sending stuff already...Do we listen? Nope! Children's clothes are soooo cute for 5 and 6 year olds! None of us can resist. And my niece is such a girly girl--she's never seen a shade of pink that she doesn't like...Anyways, maybe you should consider simply donating Duncan's clothes instead of saving them, because I'll bet that Cal will have more than enough and you'll probably never miss them....Just a thought...

I am with ya Hope...let her donate them. But we are talking about Tamara.

She would rather hold onto them in bins for later on so she can do more work (pulling them all out fitting them all in) and once again have too many clothes for Cal as well.

Ok, so this is really bugging me...how does the time stamp on comments work? Yes, I'm up early (4 A.M. central standard time)but I know that I wasn't online at 5:49...was I? Like always, I ran 4 miles, then showered, then had coffee and checked email and scanned this list...it had to be later, so how exactly does the time work?!!

Sorry time stamp is based on my time: Pacific Standard ...*grin*.

I make Tamara deal with it everyday as well since she is in Central Time.

Yeah, too many clothes is definitely what I have at times. But...I can't donate all of Duncan's old clothes. If I did that Cal would miss out on all the keen super-hero tees I bought for Duncan. I have some totally cool shirts I bought for Duncan when the Warner Stores were still open here in the US. How can I give up being able to dress my children in pop culture attire?

I do have a whole passel of baby clothes and blankets that I'll be taking to a local charity this week sometime. I figure this will be a regular occurrence with Cal's clothes as he outgrows them. A few I'll keep in hopes of foisting them on grandchildren but most will be donated. I do have to keep up my rep as the nutty comic book mom/grandma after all.

And E: pfffttt!
