And the Band Played On

ShatterStorm Productions have announced their Advent Calendar. If you fancy a go at writing for it - sign-ups started yesterday.

December... it's December already?? Blimey. I'll swear it was January only a couple of days ago...

On the other hand... December!! Nearly Christmas!! **bounces**

I can have my first mince-pie of the year!!

Not that it feels like December here in my little corner of the UK. It was 16c today. It's a bit difficult to do the winter dig-over of the garden when all the summer bedding plants are still in flower...

The post title serves as a reminder that it's World AIDS Day.

What with Ebola, Syria, Refugees, etc. AIDS seems to have been forgotten by the wider world lately.

It may not be quite as much the devastating epidemic here in the developed world as once it was - but it's still around, and even showing a slight rise in numbers... and it remains a huge problem in Africa (whatever the Pope thinks). There are still charities needing help. Whether that help is cash, work, visiting... give it a thought or two.
