MLK Assembly Day

We had a very nice Martin Luther King Jr. Assembly at school today. The choir sang two songs and we had a guest speaker. He talked about the fact that kids their age were involved in peaceful protests with Dr. King.

I should mention that our assemblies are organized and run by the kids in the leadership classes. They always do a fantastic job.

Any time I hear people griping about "kids today" I'm happy I have a job that allows me to see the kids today. They have far different challenges than when I was a kid. Challenges they handle quite well.

Three day weekend ahead for us. I plan on doing some tidying and E will finally get those outside Christmas lights down.

Now I'll let you get to reading.
