Final Bit of Summer Fun

The past week it's been just me and the three kids. Correction. E took off work on Wednesday so we could go to the Evergreen State Fair. Duncan ended up staying home because he wouldn't get his butt out of bed. He had the house all to himself while the three of us and two of the kids' friends spent all day at the fair. Normally we probably would have stopped around 3 but the weather was with us (overcast and cool) so we stuck it out until 5:30. After dropping kids off we made it home by 7:30.

Thursday I took all three kids to the Lynnwood Recreation Center to check out their spiffy new pool. It was very cool and if you live in the area, do yourself a favor and go during their open swim time.

Today we took it easy and got out to pick up my comics. Cal is really the only kid interested in that but I bribed everyone with lunch at Taco Time. After we got home I puttered and the kids did their own thing. Tonight we're going to see Super 8 at the cheap theater near our house. They also have the best popcorn of any chain in town.

Light night for reading. Hopefully there will be more tomorrow.
