Super Bowl Craziness

The Seattle Seahawks won the Super Bowl last night and let me tell you folks in this area went wild. E and I were checking the score periodically through Twitter but we knew the game was over when we heard fireworks.

Fortunately not too much in the way of property was destroyed by celebrating football fans in Seattle. Still there were some stupid incidents...a bonfire in the University District (complete with burning mattresses) and damage to a 100 year-old pergola in Pioneer Square.

E works on Capitol Hill, home to a lot of bars. She said it looked like a big party had taken place on the streets. A lot like the day after the 4th of July as a matter of fact.

Wednesday a parade is scheduled in Seattle to welcome back the Seahawks. It'll be interesting to see how wild and crazy that gets.
