Raindrops Keep Falling

The roof finally gave up the battle with the gales and we lost part of it. I'm not a qualified roofer so I couldn't even begin to do a proper job on it myself. This means getting someone in. Fortunately I know good quality blokes. It'll still cost us, mind.

So there go my hope-to-get-to-the-USA savings - again.

Ah well, could be worse. At least we can afford to repair it. And we're not flooded.

The floods have worsened. They're still bad down here in the south-west and in Wales, but now there are great chunks of the south-east under water as well. The midlands and areas in the north are under flood alert too.

And the forecast for tomorrow is heavy rain.

Australia still has record high temps and bushfires. The USA still has heavy snowfall - except in California (which has a drought). The Arctic is disappearing. If we don't start listening to the scientists soon there may not be a world for Little E's grandchildren.
