Last Day of the Month

T and the kids leave tomorrow. Summer begins and I head back to work on Wednesday. Only kitties, Max and I for the next couple of weeks. Gonna be ready for them to all return.

Enjoy your updates. Ze is up next and per usual I am sure she will have some fun to say.

Peace, Health and Happiness.

Sad Doggie Eyes

I got the pitiful look. Max is missing his all canned dog food days.

Not much to read tonight so I'll let you get to it.

Another Easy Saturday

We visited a dog park for Max and then Tamara and I got a few chores done. Overall a nice quiet day. Enjoy your weekend.

On the Mend

Max underwent a teeth cleaning and mole removal procedure on Tuesday. The vet also ended up removing a diseased tooth so he had mouth sutures as well as sutures on the top of his head. He wasn't too happy the first night. He whimpered a lot of the night even with the pain pill.

Here we are though on day three and he's mostly back to his old self. Tomorrow he'll get his first taste of dry food since the surgery. I'm not sure he's going to be ecstatic about that. He normally gets a bit of soft dog food for the evening meal. The vet recommended three days of soft due to the sutures in his mouth.

We'll see if I get the pitiful looks when he sees just dry in his bowl tomorrow morning.

Couple Days Off

I took Monday off to help get everyone (except me) packed and ready for OKC. Tuesday I load up the car and take them to the airport then come home to a very quiet empty house. It'll just be the dog, cats and I for couple of weeks.

On another note...a large thank you to Ze for continuing to update even through crappy wifi. It's appreciated and I hope her internet gets fixed sooner rather than later.

Enjoy your updates.

Peace, Health and Happiness.

Snow Speaks

Ramadan begins this weekend, we wish our Muslim readers a good festival.

.............

Snow spoke to me for the first time!!

Until now she's been silent. She's been friendly, rolling over to play. Standing on my foot with her front paws stretched up my leg to let me know she wants attention. But no noises.

This evening she heard me opening the back door to step into the garden and, as usual, rushed to her cage door to wait to be let out to play. When she saw me bend down to open the cage she hopped from paw to paw and made a "duk duk" noise several times.

Awww. So cute.

She was pleased to see me... left me proper choked up, that did.
........................

Still having wi-fi issues. Tried changing the frequency - no luck. I think the "hub" is on its way out, I expect Virgin will wait til it dies completely before replacing it though. Ah well. At least it still works some of the time.

See you next week. Goodnight and may your God/s go with you.

Wi-fi Woes

Been having wi-fi problems this past week. We're with Virgin Media, using a "super hub", and the wi-fi keeps disappearing.

The hub's working, my cousin's tower PC (cabled connection) has no problems connecting to the web, but my laptop keeps losing the signal. It tells me there's no network, it can't find it. Even if I'm sitting right beside it, it's still not found.

No, it isn't the laptop - neither of our mobile phones can find it either.

The really frustrating thing is it will work for a couple of hours then suddenly vanish. It will work especially well when the engineer from Virgin Media calls - as he has done, twice!!

This has meant that I haven't been able to track AO3 daily as usual. (Believe me - it needs tracking hourly.) So I may have missed some updates there. I'll try and catch up with them if I can. I have been able to check a fair few, so you do have a decent amount tonight.

Cleaning, Cleaning and More Cleaning

You're getting me again tonight because E is off doing focus group fun.

I got a good start on tidying today. The throw rugs are nice and clean and drying outside. Tomorrow holds more vacuuming and mopping of the floors.

In the morning I get to take Max to the vet for teeth cleaning and a mole removal. Hopefully he'll do well and the mole will turn out to be a benign growth.

You have a decent amount to read tonight. I'm sure Ze will have even more for you tomorrow.

Break Begins

We had a nice, lazy Sunday.

Tomorrow I'll take Cal to get his hair cut then over to his dad's for the week. Little e is at her other house for the week. We'll see both of them again next Monday and then fly to Oklahoma on Tuesday.

Until then, I'll be doing some house cleaning.

Y'all enjoy the updates!

Easy Day

We had a good day. Cal is off with friends geeking out with their computers. That left Emory, Tamara and myself, so we just finished watching The Monuments Men. A very enjoyable day all around.

Here's hoping the weekend is going well where you are.

Enjoy the updates.

Peace, Health and Happiness.

Summer Break

Yay! The last day of school finally arrived. E and the kids are off seeing their sad movie. I was good and went out to lunch with my co-workers. Since I'm incredibly antisocial that was a big thing. Given the choice I always lean toward heading home.

Next week I plan on tidying the house to get ready for my mom's July visit. Even though it's several weeks away, for most of that time it'll just be E and the pets at the house. She won't be making any big messes.

Thursday Evening

Ze, sorry about the football loss. I've got very few words tonight because I'm a bit tired and looking forward to Friday and the weekend.

Tomorrow the kids and I will be seeing The Fault in Our Stars. I've got my tissues ready.

Peace, Health and Happiness.

More Football

Solstice this weekend - Good Solstice to our Pagan and Wiccan readers.

Blimey, summer's barely started for us here in the north, and from next week the days will be getting shorter and the nights drawing in... and isn't that a downer.

And Spain are out of the World Cup - that's a shocker. I was expecting them to make it to the final.

Snow's current favourite toy is an empty cat-litter bag. All those expensive ferret toys and she plays with that!! It's like those kids on Christmas morning who ignore the horrendously expensive present their parents splashed out on, and play with the box it came in.

England play tomorrow, against Uruguay. If Suarez doesn't play we're in with a chance. If he plays... don't want to think about it!!

Come On England!!

See you next week. Goodnight and may your God/s go with you.

The Wee Bit of Sense

So... everybody watching the World Cup??

No??

But, but, but... it's the World Cup

OK - not everybody is a footy fan - but still it is the World Cup.

Though I think even I'll be fed up with football by the end of it. Especially since England (who I thought would probably make it through the group stages and go out in the next round, or maybe in the quarters - on penalties) look like not even making it out of the group!!

She's football crazy, she's football mad, that football it has taken away the wee bit of sense she had...
