Heartbreaking

Watching the news these day is heartbreaking.

First - the wanton, senseless, despicable destruction of an irreplaceable archaeological treasure at Palmyra, by a bunch of evil scum. The same evil scum who behead an 81 academic, burn a pilot alive, rape a 12 year-old girl as punishment... I hope when they die and go to face their God he has a deep hell for them.

Second - the floods of refugees from war, torture, persecution, caused by those same evil scum and their clones, desperate to find sanctuary in the EU, risking rape, murder, death by drowning, suffocation in the backs of trucks - and not being allowed to find that sanctuary. Have we forgotten what happened the last time we refused sanctuary to refugees fleeing persecution?? Seeing the bodies of toddlers, washed ashore after the leaky wrecks pretending to be boats have sunk. For God's sake - let them in - nobody risks this without damned good reason.

I get so angry - and so despairing...
