New Archive

A Yahoo group I'm in (for femslash of a TV show) just had an announcement about a new site. One of the members has set up a femslash archive. There aren't an awful lot of stories on there yet, but the site is hoping for lots more to be posted soon.

I'm not reporting it yet - mainly because I'm not sure if it's an archive-by-submission site or an upload-your-own-fic (FF Net style) site. We don't as a rule post updates from FF Net style sites (too hard to keep track of) unless the author requests it. But I'll keep monitoring this new one to see if it is something we should report on.

There are several sites of that type. AO3 (Archive of Our Own) also l-word, which in spite of the name does not restrict itself to fics of that show. Fictionpress - which is for original fiction rather than fanfic. And of course FF Net.

Most of these carry slash and het as well as femslash and gen, of course. This new archive is femslash only. If you've been looking for a home for a story and none of our usual sites suit you maybe that sort will.

I'm about to take a painkiller and head for bed. Hope your week has been better than mine.
